EIACP Resource partner on Environmental Biotechnology

EIACP RESOURCE PARTNER on Environmental Biotechnology was earlier situated in the Department of Environmental Science, now the centre shifted to the S.N.Bose Innovation Building, University of Kalyani.

EIACP Centre on Environmental Biotechnology in The University of Kalyani, Nadia, is funded by the Ministry of Environmental, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India is meeting the task of disseminating information on various Environment related subject areas. But with the emergence of the new field viz., ‘Environmental Biotechnology’ which plays a paramount role in environmental management has not been covered in the network.

With the emphasis on the management of natural resources and abatement of pollution as well as hazardous waste management, it is therefore proposed to set up an EIACP Centre on ‘Environmental Biotechnology’. The major emphasis of the databank will focus on ‘Pollutant Biodegradation’ and its allied aspect.
